Blessing of the Animals

We’d like to invite you to join us to commemorate the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi—13th century Italian friar, mystic, and the patron saint of animals—on Friday, October 3rd, at 9:30 AM in the St. Monica’s Pavilion.

To celebrate St. Francis, we’ll hold a Blessing of the Animals, where you can bring your pets to church to receive a blessing. To help with “over-friendliness,” we encourage you to bring your animal friends on a leash, in a carrier, or otherwise protected.

Please contact Fr. Hayden with any questions.

MOST high, almighty, and good Lord: Grant thy people grace to renounce gladly the vanities of this world, that, after the example of blessed Francis, we may for love of thee delight in all thy creatures, with perfectness of joy; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
